Solution providers vs access points
Singapore's accredited InvoiceNow landscape has two lists, and they do different jobs. Most businesses only ever need one of them — but which one depends entirely on what you already run. Here is the distinction, in plain terms.
The difference, in one sentence
An InvoiceNow-Ready Solution Provider is software that produces the invoice. An Access Point Provider is the postal service that delivers it. Most accounting packages bundle both, which is why a business on Xero or AutoCount never has to think about access points at all.
What to ask a provider before you sign
- Whose accreditation am I relying on — yours or the software vendor's? For SAP, Dynamics and Odoo the accreditation usually sits with the implementation partner, not the product company. That matters if you change partner.
- Is transmission to IRAS included, or an add-on? Being able to send a Peppol invoice to a customer is not the same as submitting invoice data to IRAS. Ask about the IRAS leg specifically.
- What happens at my volume? Free and entry packages are built for basic compliance. Get the ceiling in writing.
- Who fixes a rejected transmission? The honest answer to this tells you more about a provider than their feature list.
- Are you committed past March 2027? The current free-package list only runs that far. See which providers have committed to 2031.
A note on the seventy Xero resellers
If the market feels crowded, that is because it is. Of the 203 accredited solution providers, entries 134 to 203 are accounting firms reselling Xero — around seventy businesses offering the same underlying product. That is not a criticism of any of them, but it does explain why every search for InvoiceNow help returns a wall of near-identical offers.
The practical implication: if you already use Xero, you may not need to buy anything. Switching on e-invoicing inside Xero is a settings task. Pay for help when your invoicing is genuinely unusual — multiple entities, heavy credit notes, or an external billing system feeding your ledger — not by default.
Start from your own position
The right provider question is second. The first is what you already run, and when you actually have to comply.
